Ticks & Superheroes!!

Hey y'all! I hope you had a pretty fantastic week!
Mine was pretty great because it was another week of serving the Lord and His children 😊

We are starting to see some great success in this area! Our teaching pool is getting bigger and people are starting to progress. We've been seeing many miracles happen lately!

We've been teaching a lady who's husband met with missionaries before and before we found her they'd been thinking about coming to church our church! They even went on an adventure one day to see if they could find it (: we haven't met the husband yet but have been teaching the wife. We taught her the restoration and after we were finished we said a closing prayer and she started crying! It was so special ♡

One day we were out finding and there was this guy who had a bumper sticker that said "Jesus is my superhero" so when he answered the door we complimented him on it. After we were done having a discussion about religion he was asked "Do you ladys want a sticker!?" He then rushed inside and came out with two the of the "Jesus is my superhero" stickers. It made my day!!

Now for my least favorite part of the week: I got a tick, but nail polish remover worked like a charm and the little sucker came out quick.

This Sunday our bishop gave a really good talk about spiritual warnings. He talked about his great grandfather who risked his life to save a 14 year old from getting ran over by a train. The train had whistles blowing and horns shouting but the young lady still walked along the tracts. The grandfather knew that she wasn't going to move so to save her life he went to the front of the train and with all his strength pushed her out of the way of the train. When the grandfather was asked about this act of bravery he would say "There was a stronger hand than mine that pushed her out of the way" the 14 year old was asked after the incident if she had heard the bells and whistles go off. She admitted she did but she thought it was the train that had passed by earlier in a different direction. Our bishop related this the train whistle to the prophets voice. A true prophet of God has said "Time is running out" which means time is really running out! He has sounded those warning whistles and has told us "In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost." President Nelson (April 2018) and he has said this past conference "As President of His Church, I plead with you who have distanced yourselves from the Church and with you who have not yet really sought to know that the Savior’s Church has been restored. Do the spiritual work to find out for yourselves, and please do it now. Time is running out"
It is crunch time. It is time for us to strengthen our testimonies. It is time to know our Savior. It is time to gather scattered Israel. It is time to recognize the spirit. BECAUSE TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!

I am very grateful for your emails, letters, prayers, love, and support every week! Truly the Lord has blessed me with the best ♡ I love you all!!

He is Risen!! 🐣

Wow! I am just so grateful for the knowledge of my Savior and his sacrifice for me! Because of what Christ did for us death is conquered, ressurection is possible, and we have a chance to return to our Father in Heaven! Easter is such a wonderful holiday!!

This week there were ups and downs. We had a few people who seemed promising tell us they didn't want to meet with us anymore :( but then came the blessings! We went to Rocky Top on Thursday and we found 7 people that day!! Also we found a lady who told us the night before she had prayed to God to know what church to join. We came knocking at her door the next day! Concidence? I think not (:

The weather this week was crazy! On Saturday it was 45 degrees and then it jumped to 70 on Sunday!! Got to love the weather Haha

Also transfer calls were this week and I'm staying to Melton Lake East with Sister Jacobson (:

Anyway here are some pictures from this week! As always thanks for your love, support, and prayers!! ♡ Happy Easter!!

Conference Rumors Were Actually Just Rumors

What I've learned this conference weekend is not to trust conference rumors anymore Haha. Anyway general conference was great! On Saturday morning the Elders in our ward had a baptism which we spoke at (: right after we watched general conference at the church. On Sunday morning we went to some members house and had brunch and watched conference together. It was way fun 😊 for the Sunday afternoon session we went to the church and one of the people who we are teaching showed up!! He said it helped clear up a lot of his questions and get a better idea of what our church was about. My fingers are crossed for him (: After Conference we had dinner at the Valedez's and Brother Valdez gave us some M&Ms and asked us what flavor we thought they were. After we put them in our mouths he showed us it was jalapeno flavored M&Ms! Personally I thought they were pretty good 😊

This week we met with a member who is unable to go to church because of health issues. She asked us what our hobbies were and I told her I loved to sing. She said "Oh I wish you could sing for me" and I knew that was my que. I have a bunch of instrument hymns on my phone and was trying to decide which one to choose. I got a strong impression from the spirit to sing "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" so I did. After singing to Loretta the spirit was so strong and she started crying and told me that that was her favorite hymn and told us her testimony about Christ. It was such a tender moment.

I would love to know about your favorite quotes from conference! I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours 😊
I know that we do have a living prophet on this Earth today he leads us through these last days. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and brings us closer to Christ. I know that Christs lives! I know that through his Atonement we can be healed and made clean. This gospel is real, it is true. I know because I've asked God and received an answer. I'm grateful for all the very many blessings in my life ♡
Love you all and hope y'all have a blessed week!

We got a "parking ticket"...

Happy April 1st! The weather out here is beautiful. Everything is starting to turn green!!

We had a pretty successful week and were able to teach a few lessons and find some awesome people!

Zone conference was also this week and it was a blast! I found out people from my first area are progressing really well!

On Saturday was the Pinewood derby and we got to help out with that! It was so much fun!! After the derby me & Sister Jacobson parked our car at the church and started tracting. The Elders were still at the church supervising over a blood drive that was happening. We got back and looked on our car and we had a "parking ticket" that was TOTALLY not fake and written by the Elders. Haha besides our "parking ticket" no one called the cops on our parking this week so I guess you could say it was a good week (:

I've been reading from "Our Search for Happiness" by Russell M. Ballard. He was talking about our life before Earth and said "It would be difficult and sometimes painful--for Him, perhaps, as well as for us" I love that because our Father in Heaven really does care about us personally. I bet it's really hard for Him to watch all the pain that we go through, but our Father in Heaven knows the eternal perspective of our sufferings. This is just a small moment.
I've also been thinking about individual worth and how one of Satans biggest tools is to make us forget our worth and identity. When we forget that we are a son or daughter of God we forget that others are too and takes our minds off of that eternal perspective. It is so important for us to remember who we really are. We are literally sons and daughters of a Heavenly King who loves us. That knowledge is powerful!! Use it with power!

Y'all are amazing! Thank you for your prayers love and support ❤
