Sister Campbell woke up with a lot of bug bites so we checked the bed and there were bugs literally crawling out of the mattress! So we slept in our living room. Luckily we had 2 couches (tender mercy). This was Wednesday night
Thursday morning was new missionary orientation which was so good! It was much needed and the spirit was so strong (tender mercy)
After orientation some of the office staff came to our apartment to help us get new mattresses and get rid of the old ones. That night we were suppose to clear everything from our bedroom so the exterminator could come the next day and see how
bad the bed bugs were. Because of orientation and the bed bug situation we hadn't got any finding in that day so we decided to go tracting. We finished the street and found a person (tender mercy)! It started to rain really hard. We were heading back to the
car as fast as we could so we could stay dry, but I got in the car too fast and hit my head on the car door and got a cut so bad I had to got to the ER. The whole time I was praying that I wouldn't have to get stitches. Luckily I did not! They just "superglued"
it shut (tender mercy). Also the Elders in our ward bought us dinner (tender mercy). We got home that night and still had to take everything out in our room and spent the night on the couches again.
Friday morning we had to be out of our apartment by 8am and weren't allowed to come back in until they told us we could. But that morning we also had an amazing lesson with a referral! The spirit was so strong and he is so prepared and willing
to learn (tender mercy) 😊.
We got a call that all the bed bugs were gone and that we were good to go back to the apartment! The exterminator said that they couldn't find any more traces of bed bugs. For some reason they only stayed in Sister Campbells mattress and never came
to mine and they didn't spread out in the room. If they would've found more it would've been an
$800 to get try to kill them all so this one was a big tender mercy.
Although this week was hectic, God was there through it all. There is always good in the bad, you just have to look for it. Even before writing this email I didn't realize how blessed we actually were this week. Even when times get hard the gospel
is still true!! ♡
I love y'all! Thank you for your love, support, and prayers. Here's to a better week!
