Hello friends & family! I hope y'all had a fantastic week!

This week was transfers and my new companion is Sister Bateman. She has been out for 16 months and so she only has two transfers left! She's from Wyoming and something way cool is if you've ever seen the movie The Cookeville Miracle her grandpa is the main character (the detective). 

This week we had some crazy things happen! We were walking down the road knocking on some houses and on the other side of the road a car slowed down and told us "you're going to get hit" and we were like "we'll be careful" then he left. A couple minutes later we were walking back to our car and it was the same guy. This time he pulled off to the side of the road and was getting out of his car walking towards us. I immediately grabbed for my pepper spray. He came up super close to us and told us a story about how he'd seen the pearly white gates. He told us how he tells everyone that story and everyone thinks he's crazy. Then he told us how he wasn't crazy then left to his car. 

We had another experience where we met someone with 9 different personalities! Just when you think you've seen it all Haha 

We also had a lesson with someone this week who pretended to be interested but we got it out of her that she was wanting to convert us. Let's just say her idea didn't go according to plan because our testimonies are too strong (: 

In Come Follow Me it said "It might be interesting to try a simple activity for the next few days: Whenever you interact with someone, try to think to yourself, “This person is a child of God.” As you do this, what changes do you notice in the way you think about and interact with others?" This is my challenge for y'all this week. I will be doing it myself 😊 the more we see people as children of God the more we love them

The Gospel is Better than Pizza

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful fantastic week! 

This week was pretty great! A person that we have been teaching got baptized and she's amazing and I love her so much! She's literally the best (Also she told me she reads my blog so I hope you read this 😉) 

Yesterday we were knocking doors and we knocked on this one person's door. They didn't answer but as we were leaving their house the pizza person parks in their driveway as we're walking away. We went to the house across the street and watched as they opened the door for the pizza person. Haha we were laughing a heads off. 

We also met this amazing woman who told us she used family search to find her family history (: we talked to her about the Book of Mormon and she told us she was super excited to read it! She was so sweet.

20 in Tennessee

Hey y'all! I would first like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes! This was honestly one of the best Birthdays! 

This week was great! It was chucked full of miracles! 

One of the people we're teaching invited us over to eat dinner with them this week. They found out I played guitar and brought out their electric guitar so I played Set Free for them (: 

On Tuesday we had dinner with our ward mission leader and had correlation and BROTHER TOMBS MADE US SOUFFLES! THEY WERE SO GOOD!! 

For the fourth of July we spent it at a person we're teaching's house, Lauren, she is an amazing person 😊❤ 

Sunday was awesome! I am finally no longer a teenager! It was fast Sunday and we had to go tracting but every door we knocked on was super nice and 3 houses gave us water! That night we had dinner with Brother and Sister Valdez and someone told them it was my birthday so they made homemade icecream, cake, and brownies 😋 they were so good!! Also that night Gwen & Bobby met up with us and gave me a gift and cake! I love them so much!! ♡ truly I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life! 

I have truly won the spiritual lottery. Reflecting on these past 20 years I have definitely seen God prevalent in my life. I cannot describe how grateful I am for all the things he's given me. He's given me a family who I love and am grateful that I get to be with them for eternity, He has given me friends who I wouldn't trade for the world, he has given us music which has been a blessing in my life, He gave me contacts and glasses so I can see, he gave me this great opportunity to teach His children, He has given us the restored gospel, He has given us the greatest gift of all which is His son which I'm tremendously grateful for His sacrifice. I'm very grateful for the knowledge of having a loving Heavenly Father. I'm grateful for every little good thing in life. Flowers, kittens, strawberries, avocados, guitars, donuts, ect. God is great!!

Testimony

Hey y'all this week was a good week! It wasn't as crazy as last week Haha. Lots of good things happening 😊 

I just want to take this weeks weekly to bare my testimony. I've been out on my mission for 7 months and it's amazing how I feel like my testimony's grown. I know that this church is true. I know that Jesus is our Savior and He died for us. Through Him there is healing and we are able to repent. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us each individually and personally. He knows us by name and He wants more than anything for us to make it back to Him. He is a God of love. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it was translated by the prophet Jospeh Smith. I know that President Nelson is our prophet today and he leads and guides us towards Christ. I know that if we read the Book of Mormon we will grow closer to Christ. This is the church! This is the church that Jesus Christ had when he was on the Earth. I know that this is gospel is true!! ♡
