Different religions but one in Christ (:

Wow guess what!? General Conference is coming up and I'm way excited!

Anyway this week was a harder one where we faced a lot of rejection. Opening an area is hard because you want to teach people but you don't have anyone to teach, so all we do mostly is tracting. One of the biggest problems as a missionary is finding places to park. We had the cops called on us twice because our car is an unknown car and looked suspicious. Luckily both the times the police men were nice and gave us tips for parking.

This week was also powerups and I was with Sister Cox again (: the STLs are actually in our district so we didn't have to go too far to have powerups (:

On Friday we were weekly planning and got a call from the Elders who we share the ward with and apparently one of them was up in the attic looking for the wifi router and he fell through the roof!! Don't worry he's okay but me and Sister Jacobson were laughing about it the whole rest of the time we were planning.

Another story: we were talking to a really kind couple outside. A couple days ago there was this guy who had bashed us. As we were talking to the couple we saw the guy who bashed us the other day approach us in the street. He came up to the nice couple and introduced himself and said hi to us. When I saw him my soul just dropped. I honestly thought he was going to start bashing us in front of this nice couple which we just gave a Book of Mormon to, but then instead of bashing us he apologized. He apologized for bashing us the other day and told us that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ and that were all on the same team. He told us he was driving down the road, saw us, and parked just so he could apologize for the way he reacted the other day. That's probably one of the most Christ like things I've seen someone do :) I love how he brought up the point that even though were both different religions were on the same team. We are both fighting this battle against Satan and are trying to become like Christ ♡

Thank you for all your love, support, and prayers! I love you all! Have a fantastic week!!

I LOVE MY MOM!!!!!!

First off I would like to say Happy Birthday to my amazing, beautiful, loving, fantastic, mother 😊 Her Birthday was a couple days ago and because of the new rule I was able to call and say Happy Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! YOU'RE THE BEST!! I LOVE YOU TO ETERNITY!!!!! πŸ˜„❤πŸ’•πŸŒΈπŸ’–πŸ’›πŸ§‘

This week I got transferred to Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Fun fact: this is where the automic bomb got built... so I guess you can say this place is the bomb (;

It really is nice here. It is so pretty! We share a ward with the Elders. It's definitely a switch of going from a branch to a ward but I love both (: this week consisted of tracting. Lots and lots of tracting to build up our area book. We already got someone on a soft set baptism comittment so we're doing great! (:

Alma 56:47
"Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them"

I love this scripture because it shows how important our moms are. I'm so grateful for my mom and her example to me growing up and teaching me the gospel ♡ Tell your mom that you love them this week!! (:

I love you all! Thank you for your prayers and support! You're the best!!

Are we tracting or hiking?

Wow! You look great today, you wonderful child of God who is reading this (;

This week was great! We found a bunch of awesome people and we put someone on date!

So transfer calls were this week and I found out I'm going to Oak Ridge, TN! I'm going to be opening up an area with my new companion (:

One of my favorite moments this week was we were teaching someone about the Book of Mormon and his mind was blown! He ran in and grabbed his bible and was like "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT THIS (Holds up the bible) THIS BOOK THAT I'VE BEEN TOLD MY WHOLE LIFE THAT THIS IS THE ONLY SCIPTURE THAT THIS (holds up Book of Mormon) MEANS THERES MORE!!!" THERE'S MORE!!!!!!!!!"
The funny plot twist of the whole situation was the dad took the missionary discussions when he was 12 and stopped because his parents told him to.  He told his son "You got to do what they said and read for yourself and pray to know if it's true"

Also another funny experience is we were doing a contact attempt and all the sudden the road in front of us started bursting out water. It just kept going and going and the whole neighborhood was gathering round the water to see what happened. That night our water was shut off πŸ˜‚

The Book of Mormon really is another testament of Christ. It is a powerful book. In the scriptures it tells us many times to ponder what we read. My tips for scripture reading are:
1. Do it in a quiet place
2. ALWAYS HAVE A NOTE BOOK AND PENCIL WITH YOU!!!!!!!******
3. Use the Institute or seminary manual in gospel library to go into more depth about what you read
4. Tell someone about what you read
5. Apply it to your life (:

I hope y'all have a blessed week! Remember who you are!! Love you!! ♡

A Christmas Story

Happy March!! Time is going by so fast! I've hit my 3 month mark for my mission so I've heard it just gets faster from here on

One of my favorite scripture stories is in 3 Nephi 1 because it talks about the birth of Christ. The wicked people had set a specific day to kill the righteous believers. Nephi turned to God and prayed that the righteous would be saved. The Savior told him he would be coming that day and the signs Samuel prophesied of were going to happen. That night the sun went down and there was still light. The wicked people fell down to the Earth in fear realizing they were wrong.
I love this story because it shows that Christ was the Savior even from his birth. He saved the righteous believers from the hands of the wicked non believers. He continues to save us everyday.

We are teaching amazing people! On Wednesday night we had a chapel tour with a person we're teaching. The spirit was so strong and she said she felt like she was at home!

Great things are happening in this branch (:

God is great ♡

Thank you for your prayers, love, and support!
