I'm an Orphan

Hey y'all I hope y'all had a very Merry Christmas! My Christmas was really good! On Christmas eve we went to a members house and I got to try a ulog (I don't know how to spell it)

On Christmas we had a breakfast at a members house and had crepes! We then went to district council. It was so fun to call family! It wasn't as painful to hang up this year as it was last year because of the new rule that we can call every week!! Nobody really invited us to Christmas dinner so we ended up going to a Chinese buffet and Sister Rackley's mom paid for it ♡

Transfer Calls were this week!! Hixon will be getting whitewashed by Elders and I'm going to a place called Jamestown and I'm going to be with Sister Burch again!! (She was my companion last transfer) I'm so excited!!

I know this church is true and that God answers our prayers. After the storm there is a rainbow!

Have a great New Years! Stay up late for me 😅 I love y'all

Guys I'm engaged!!!!!

Sometimes I wear my CTR ring on my left ring finger because I'm anxiously engaged in the gospel lolololol

This week was my first and last Christmas zone conference! It was the same day that I entered into the mission field! What a good year it's been (: during the zone conference they did a slideshow of everyone we baptized as a mission and I started crying! I'm so grateful to my Heavenly Father for this last year and the people I've been able to teach, meet, & help baptize! We did skits during zone conference and I got to participate in one! Also my zone won for funniest skits (;

This week I also tried fruit cake for the first time! It was okay haha

So my companion low-key got surgery... she had an ingrown toenail and the foot doctor said that she could numb her toe and cut off part of her nail right then and there and that'd she'd be able to walk on it just fine. We were both freaking out. I know God is real because the whole time I was praying I wouldn't faint so I could be there to support my companion (I do not do well with even the thought of needles) but we both got through it together 😅

There is a quote that said “You cannot lift another soul until you are standing on higher ground than He is. You must be sure, if you would rescue the man, that you yourself are setting the example of what you would have him be. You cannot light a fire in another soul unless it is burning in your own soul” It really stuck out to me. You can't convert someone past your own conversion and if you want to start a fire you need to have a spark 💥

Have a very Merry Christmas! If anyone wants to send me something I wouldn't be mad 😊

Invalid 🤔

I love Mondays because I get to write all of y'all!!!

This week was pretty typical. Someone bashed us this week and told us our spiritual experiences were invalid because it didn't happen in the bible 🤔 (they don't believe in the Holy Ghost)

This week we also had a cat that followed us 😂

A cool thing that happened this week is one of the Sisters in our district lost her nametag & couldn't find it. Me and Sister Rackley were really craving Chinese buffet. We went to the restaurant and the worker saw our tag and was like "this is a stretch but by chance do you know who this belongs to?" AND IT WAS THE SISTERS NAME TAG!!!! A couple nights before a member in that Sisters branch took them to eat at a restaurant in our area. If me & Sister Rackley didn't go to the restaurant that night at that time with that worker we would've never found her nametag!! God is so good and He is working in our favor!

This week I also gained two family members! A new dog and a brother in law! Congrats to Marie & Carson! 😊

Hope y'all have a great week! NEXT WEEK IS CHRISTMAS!!! Stay safe & warm! Love y'all ♡

Saved By The Leaf Blower

Can we just take a moment and appreciate GPS'. Like do you know how hard it would be to get around Tennessee if we played it by ear? "You take one left yonder then you see the crick and take a right. Drive past the rock and you're at your destination" 😂 I'm grateful for GPS'

This week was good! It consisted of a leaf blower truck saving us from a dog that was bugging us, powerups, the ward Christmas party, and a person looking for a church walking into ours (:

President Thomas S. Monson said: “To find real happiness, we must seek for it in a focus outside ourselves. No one has learned the meaning of living until he has surrendered his ego to the service of his fellow man. Service to others is akin to duty—the fulfillment of which brings true joy”

Service is the best medicine for sadness. Somehow it seems like our problems go away for a moment when we help out others. There was a talk I listened to this week that talked about builder uppers and tear downers. It is good to reflect on: do you build others up when you talk about them or tear them down? Do you build others up by your actions or do you tear them down? Let's be builders! Lets all build each other regardless of status, religion, looks, or whatever is standing in the way of us loving God's Children. The ultimate example of a builder upper was Christ 😊

I love y'all and hope you have a great week! I know I've been put for awhile but try not to forget about me ♡(;

1 year & Thanksgiving!!

I hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving this week! Thanksgiving was my year mark of entering the MTC! (:

Honestly not too much happened this week. We had 2 thanksgiving dinners, which we were stuffed!

I've been reading in Ether. In Ether it talked about how the brother of Jared and his friends and family are in the barges. They were sailing across the sea and there was storms and winds. Every time they were about to go under it talks about how they cried out and prayed to the Lord to save them. That is the same with our lives. Every time we feel like we are sinking we should cry out to the Lord and prayer and he will deliver us back to the surface 💙

Have a great week! Love you & remember who you are!!
