Come, Follow Me

How was everyone's first week of the new year!? This week was pretty great (:

First things first, the new Come, Follow Me curriculum is amazing!! If you haven't started yet, you should (: Do it with your family, do it with your friends, do it with your roommate(s) JUST DO IT!!

On Tuesday we were tracting and this cute puppy came out of nowhere! It was so adorable! It would follow us as we went up to people's doors (I'll include a picture of it). We also got a date for a baptism!!

Thursday was new missionary orientation. It was good to see the missionaries who I came out to the field with again (:

Saturday we were going to go to the temple but everyone got sick :/  We went tracting and we found this beautiful hidden neighborhood with a lake and golf course. The sun was out shining and it was so peaceful! Everything definitely happens for a reason and it's all in God's timing.

Sunday (yesterday) was fast Sunday and also the first 2 hour church! It was sooo good! While me & Sister Hess were tracting while we were fasting and the sun was still out shining and we found like 5 people!! Fasting works my friends (;

I was reading a talk by Elder Utchdorf this week: Believe, Love, Do and this part really stood out:
"The love Jesus spoke about, however, isn’t a gift-card, throwaway, move-on-to-other-things love. It isn’t a love that is spoken of and then forgotten. It is not a “let me know if there is anything I can do” sort of love.
The love God speaks of is the kind that enters our hearts when we awake in the morning, stays with us throughout the day, and swells in our hearts as we give voice to our prayers of gratitude at evening’s end."

That's the kind of love God has for us! He's thinking about us constantly and waiting for us to turn to him. I read a quote this week that said "When we loose ourselves in Christ we find ourselves"
How amazing is it that we can wake up everyday with a new chance to become closer to God and try again!? Knowing that through Christ we can do anything. (:

Hope every has a great week!
