This week was great! We found a bunch of awesome people and we put someone on date!
So transfer calls were this week and I found out I'm going to Oak Ridge, TN! I'm going to be opening up an area with my new companion (:
One of my favorite moments this week was we were teaching someone about the Book of Mormon and his mind was blown! He ran in and grabbed his bible and was like "YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT THIS (Holds up the bible) THIS BOOK THAT I'VE BEEN TOLD
MY WHOLE LIFE THAT THIS IS THE ONLY SCIPTURE THAT THIS (holds up Book of Mormon) MEANS THERES MORE!!!" THERE'S MORE!!!!!!!!!"
The funny plot twist of the whole situation was the dad took the missionary discussions when he was 12 and stopped because his parents told him to. He told his son "You got to do what they said and read for yourself and pray to know
if it's true"
Also another funny experience is we were doing a contact attempt and all the sudden the road in front of us started bursting out water. It just kept going and going and the whole neighborhood was gathering round the water to see what happened.
That night our water was shut off 😂
The Book of Mormon really is another testament of Christ. It is a powerful book. In the scriptures it tells us many times to ponder what we read. My tips for scripture reading are:
1. Do it in a quiet place
2. ALWAYS HAVE A NOTE BOOK AND PENCIL WITH YOU!!!!!!!******
3. Use the Institute or seminary manual in gospel library to go into more depth about what you read
4. Tell someone about what you read
5. Apply it to your life (:
I hope y'all have a blessed week! Remember who you are!! Love you!! ♡
